We are honored that you are considering joining our Youth Ballroom Program. It is built on the belief that dance is more than movement — it is a powerful tool for building confidence, discipline, respect, and leadership in young people. Through ballroom dance, students learn posture, poise, teamwork, and musicality while building friendships and gaining valuable life skills. We look forward to dancing with your family!

Private Lessons

Private lessons give students individualized coaching designed to accelerate progress, build confidence, and strengthen technique in a supportive environment. Lessons are tailored to each dancer’s age, experience level, and goals, whether they are brand new to ballroom, preparing for performances or competitions, or looking to refine specific skills.

Performance

Join us as we celebrate the end of our Fall ADA Session with a special student performance showcase. Throughout the session, students have worked hard to develop their ballroom dance skills, build confidence, and grow as performers.

During this event, dancers will demonstrate the techniques, routines, and partnering skills they have learned while sharing their accomplishments with family and friends.

This celebration is a wonderful opportunity for students to shine on the dance floor, recognize their progress, and enjoy the excitement of performing together as a team. We look forward to ending the season with an evening full of dancing, achievement, and celebration!

Registration Deposit

To secure your child’s position in our dance program a non- refundable deposit of $75.00 must be made by August 1st. It will serve as a security deposit for a single student to start the selected group class time and location. Classes begin August 31st & September 1st (depending on location)

YOUTH BALLROOM AT STEPHENS-LEE COMMUNITY CENTER

Asheville Dance Academy at the Stevens-Lee Center

Join us for an exciting fall session of ballroom dance designed especially for young dancers! Beginning August 31st through December 16th, classes will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Stevens-Lee Center.

This session focuses on building strong fundamentals and technique while introducing students to a variety of ballroom styles, including waltz, tango, salsa, cha-cha, hustle, and foxtrot. Dancers will develop coordination, confidence, musicality, and partner skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Ballroom dance is a partner-based style, and while having a partner is encouraged, it is not required. We create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere where all students can participate, learn, and have fun—no matter what.

Class Schedule: MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS

 • Ages 5–7: 3:00–3:30 PM

 • Ages 8–12: 3:45–4:15 PM

 • Ages 13–17: 4:30–5:15 PM

No prior dance experience is required—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
